Boundary Bay Garden Parties: Gathering Together All Summer Long
If you’ve been following our social media accounts lately, you’ve probably heard the term “Garden Parties” thrown around. Back on June 14th, we announced this event series and have been busy finalizing details for it since.
Put simply, a Garden Party is a live music event here in “Bellingham’s Backyard” - the beer garden at Boundary Bay.
The series is made up of the returning weekly events we’ve grown to love over the years (like Thursday Happy Hour with Robert Sarazin Blake and Fryday Fish Fry), as well as a set of brand new weekly events we’ve curated to accommodate those of you who have been deprived of live music and social gatherings for the past year.
We chose this term “Garden Party” because to us, each and every one of these weekly gatherings feels like an absolute party. Every time we imagine a musician taking the stage this year, we are reminded of the many faces that have played here at 1107 Railroad Avenue and how good it feels to finally be bringing this artform back to our community. What’s more, our Beer Garden is a Certified Wildlife Habitat, housing hundreds of flower and tree varieties planted over the last 20 years - so you truly are “partying in a garden” all summer long!
How can I make the most of the 2021 Garden Parties series?
With the exception of Saturday Night Concerts (cover charge varies), all Garden Parties are FREE and ready for you to join in on the fun! All ages are welcome in the Beer Garden until 10pm, every day.

Out of the Ashes
Tuesdays // 3:30pm - 5:30pm // All Ages // Free
Out of the Ashes is a live, interactive music experience for people of all abilities. It is the mission of Out of the Ashes to connect hearts and souls to the eternal magic of music and to increase the awareness of positive possibilities in everyday life experience.
Thursday Happy Hour
Thursdays // 4pm - 8pm // All Ages // Free
Brought to you by our dear friend Robert Sarazin Blake, Thursday Happy Hour in the Garden will now consist of rotating stringband musicians and the like each week. The Garden opens at 4pm, musicians take the stage at 5pm and Mix Masala food truck will be there for Happy Hour eats!
Funky Frydays
Fridays // 4pm - 8pm // All Ages // Free
Welcome to Funky Frydays, where the music is rockin' and the fish is fryin'! Each week, Funky Frydays will offer live music from either The Super Funks (Bellingham’s newest super band) or a wonderful mix of bands with that perfectly funky Friday vibe curated by The Super Funks themselves. As usual, Fish Fry will be available from 4 - 8pm (while supplies last) for Dine In and Drive Thru.

After Market Music

Join us after a quick visit to the Bellingham Farmers Market across the street, or swing on over for a pint and grub every Saturday afternoon with live tunes from rotating community musicians of all genres! Check in each week to see who is performing and at what time the music starts!
